Light on both sides, great minimalist design, we feel at home in the polished concrete suave apartment. Jeffrey was welcoming and communication perfect. This space is in a quiet part of quirky Ktown. The washing machine is a brilliant touch for travellers

My daughter and I stayed for one night before moving on to Kyoto. I confirm other reviews in their: - Location between 2 JRLines - Near Shinjuku - convenient short walk to main street where there are is food , convenient stores etc The building looks new and modern. The pick up instructions are clear and concise and the manager, MJ ( who converses well in English) is very responsive and would remind me if I hadn't responded about something via email. The room is indeed small and just ok for 2 people and already you need to be organised about where you place and open your suitcases (we had 2 big ones). I just ended up placing my suitcase in front of the door at night before bed. The other one could sit on the 2 seater couch. The beds are comfortable and there is aircon / heater PLUS a humidifier. The TV monitor very conveniently swivels so it can face all sides of the room. The kitchen is well equipped and they even provide necessary detergents for dishes and washing machine. For a very small room, the bathroom is very spacious. There is first a dry area where the washing machine and toilet is and you can change in there as well. I LOVE that they prepared many hooks for hanging - something that many hotels have overlooked. The bathtub is nice, new and clean and fabulous to take a nice long soak in. There is a dresser/ desk which has power points for charging. I notice several power points in the room so definitely ample distribution of charging points. I was only there one night but I seem to feel that the Wi-fi was pretty fast. My only complaint is that there are only stairs so you need to be prepared to carry your luggage. I was already warned so I was mentally prepared but good thing my room only on second floor so it was 2 flights of stairs up.

Fantastic place. There is no reception as such but they are very responsive on email. We landed early in Tokyo from London so were in desperate need of a nap by lunchtime, but they managed to let us into the room at around 2pm which was much appreciated! The location is superb. It is in a little warren of back alleys that feel very residential. The area feels very safe, even late at night. The JR Yamanote line goes through Shin Obuko which is a 5 minute walk away. The centre of Shinjuku is a 10-15 minute walk, but the walk is very interesting as there’s so much hubbub and lots of little restaurants and shops along the route. We thought this was a much better experience than we might have had from booking a big chain hotel in the centre of Shinjuku, all in all we felt very lucky to have booked this place!

I loved this place. Check in time is a little late - 4pm - but when MJ (the manager) saw my elderly parents with me, she made every effort to prepare our rooms as quickly as she could. MJ was very accommodating and helpful - she was very patient in teaching us how to use the heater and the other appliances in the room, and was very helpful with giving us information about the city throughout our trip. The rooms were clean and designed simple but very well. Rooms are a tad small so I wouldn't recommend the room for a party of more than 2. The location of the motel is very close to 2 of the train stations on the JR line so it made getting around very convenient. I loved BMJ Shinjuku Okubo and will definitely stay there again when I'm in Tokyo.

I stayed for one night on a business trip and I am very happy I stayed here. The rooms are comfortable everything is clean and the staff are super friendly and multilingual. I would recommend this place anyone. It's less than a 20 minute walk from the station and only one stop away from shinjuku so everything is very convenient. If I need a place to stay in Tokyo again I will definitely try to come here again
